The Green Fighting Irish kicked off the September 27th Rochester Youth Football League Sunday games by scoring within the first 22 seconds of the game against the Red Devils at 10:00 AM.

The A's Gameplay was exciting, but even more exciting since Elijah got to play in the first quarter of the A game! It was also fun because I got to do the "chains" during the first half with both Jeffs... Nothing like a front-row seat, although it rained steadily during most of it. That's football!

The Irish's repeated moving of the football lead them to a 36-6 victory over the Red Devils. This game was sooooo close to another shut-out for Green... The Green A team is now 3-1. » More...

Green Fighting Irish Rule!

Well, on Sunday, September 20th, the Purple Prowlers hosted the Green Fighting Irish for a 2:00 PM game.

The A's Gameplay was exciting, with both teams stopping each other, with one exception that allowed Purple to score. It was 4th down and Green was very close to their own end zone. Instead of punting, they decided to go for a 4th and 20 first down, but turned the ball over on downs.

This turnover resulted in a Purple touchdown and 2 point conversion which led them to an 8-0 victory over Green. The Green A team is now 2-1. » More...

Green Fighting Irish vs. Blue Outlaws

Well it was another shut-out for the Green Fighting Irish against the Blue Outlaws at 2PM today...

The A game score was 42-0, making their record 2-0, and the B game score was tied, 8-8, making their record 1-0-1.

Once again, Elijah had some prime play time that paid off. Late in the 4th quarter of the A game, the coaches for the Blue Outlaws had pulled their A players out and put their B players in. Green had done the same, which put Elijah in at defensive tackle. » More...

On Thursday September 10, 2009, at 6:30 PM, the Green Fighting Irish embarked on their journey towards what would become a couple of memorable and outstanding victories over the Maroon Marauders.

The 'A' team shut out Maroon with a score of 40-0. The 'B' team swiftly and cleanly defeated the Maroon Bs, by a score of 12-0.

Perhaps the best part was Elijah's defensive fumble recovery for a touchdown to put the B's on top 6-0 early in their game. » More...
